Rally Raid Event Overview

The Rally Raid event is a premier off-road motorsport competition that serves as a potential Dakar qualifier, attracting top riders and teams from around the world. Set in challenging terrains, this event tests participants’ navigation skills, endurance, and riding capabilities. The 2024 event will take place from 21 to 23 June, featuring diverse stages designed to push the limits of both man and machine.

Setting up your navigation for Digital Roadbook and GPX Trail Navigation

Here are a couple of images and  instructions to help you learn about the app and features of digital navigation

Step 1: Install RBR from Play Store

  1. Open the Google Play Store on your Android device.
  2. Search for “RBR Roadbook Reader.”
  3. Tap “Install” to download and install the app.

Step 2: Open the App

  1. Launch the RBR app from your app drawer or home screen.
  2. You can open an account if you wish to track your ride, but it is not necessary for loading routes.

Step 3: Load Your Routes

  1. Go to the “Tracks” section within the app.
  2. Enter the PINs provided to load your routes for the rally.

Step 4: Sample PINs

  1. Here are some sample PINs to try:
    • Sample PIN 1: VNN7
    • Sample PIN 2: JPP5
  2. Official PINs will be made available on the WhatsApp group and this info page before each stage.

Step 5: Digital Roadbook Layout

  1. Open a route using the digital roadbook option.
  2. The layout includes interactive tulips, waypoints, zones, and areas.
  3. Use the scroll or autoscroll feature to navigate through the roadbook.

Step 6: GPX Trail Screenshot and Explanation

  1. Open a route using the GPX Trail option.
  2. The screen will display a line to follow, with interactive waypoints and zones.
  3. This mode helps you navigate by line, ensuring you stay on track.
