*NOTIFICATION #7 – ROUTE DIFFICULTY & NAVIGATION*
*ROUTE DIFFICULTY*
This is not a beginner-friendly ride. A few entries show riders marked as novice or on large bikes like GS1200s. While Rampage welcomes everyone, it’s important to set expectations right:
– Novice riders on big bikes will struggle.
– Rampage routes are not designed to break bikes or bodies, but they are challenging.
– Expect sand, gravel, single track, jeep tracks, rocky climbs, and river crossings.
– This ride is best suited for intermediate and advanced riders, preferably on smaller or mid-size adventure bikes.
*NAVIGATION*
Rampage does not supply GPX files for Garmin or other devices. All navigation is done using an Android phone or tablet with the RBR Roadbook app installed.
This event offers two navigation styles in the app:
– Digital Roadbook
– Follow-the-line GPX-style
*CLASS 3 FOLLOWERS*
If you chose to follow, that’s okay—but make sure to find a rider or small group at the start that matches your pace. You must still ride responsibly and manage yourself on the day.
*WHAT WE OFFER AT RAMPAGE*
Rampage outrides are social, well-prepped, and full of rally spirit—but they’re built to challenge you.
That’s the whole point. Let’s ride!
