*NOTICE 9 – WHY NO GPX OR GARMIN SUPPORT?*

Rampage is embedded in the navigation rally world—we’re not just event organisers, we’re also developers. We build roadbooks, support digital nav tools, and create Dakar-style rally formats for South African riders.

GPX files and Garmin are tools of the past in our world. They’re common in casual adventure rides, but they also lead to problems:
– GPX files are easily shared.
– Public access often gets sensitive farm and bush routes shut down.
– We’ve lost many riding areas due to shared GPX files.

Our events run on the RBR App (Android). It gives you:
– Digital roadbooks
– GPX-style tracking lines
– Waypoint control, speed zones, and replay features

*Why we keep it closed:* We treat route-building seriously. Recce, development, and roadbook creation can cost up to R50/km. When those routes get shared and abused, we lose access and all future use. Our routes are built with time, fuel, and rider safety in mind. Sharing a route breaks that ecosystem. It’s not about ego—it’s about protecting the work and keeping the ride alive.

Our request:
If you ride with us, please don’t share recorded tracks. You can use your track again for personal use, but avoid sending it to others. Help us preserve riding access in Gauteng.
