The Bush Bash Events will take place between 15 – 17 June 2024 and will see all riders starting their journeys from 3 registration points in South Africa and meeting at the Mhara Game Lodge in the Limpopo region where the main event will take place.
Riders will depart from the following 3 registration points in SA:
- Limpopo – Louis Trichardt
- Mpumalanga – Nelspruit
- Gauteng – Modderfontein

Saturday 15th June
Riders will meet at the 3 designated departure points early Saturday morning and travel between 390km to 440km to reach the meeting point on the Saturday afternoon at Mhara Game Lodge. There will be designated lunch stops for the riders per track.
Sunday 16th June
After breakfast, the riders will depart for a 250km stage which includes district roads and some single tracks in the game farm. Riders will return to the Mhara Game Lodge by late afternoon for dinner and a social evening to reflect on an adventurous days riding.
Monday 17th June
The last day sees riders departing after breakfast for a 350km stage which includes tar & district roads. Or you will have the option of hitting the pigeon route back home.
Logistics & Back-up
There will be a back-up vehicle available for the journey to the lodge on the Saturday that will supply support from all departure points. The same vehicle will be on call for the entire weekend. This team will also include medical assistance backed by ER 24 for safety and support en route to the final venue. Riders departing from each geographical area would be able to split up into smaller groups but will have to follow the specific pre-determined GPS planned routes and waypoints for each journey.
Route selection will suit all rider’s abilities and include 2 options, namely.
- Orange – tar roads and gravel district roads
- Red – gravel roads, twin tracks & cattle paths
All routes leading to the Game lodge endpoint will be named in sequential order with distances noted along the route.
All riders will stop for lunch just outside Bela-Bela.
These specified routes will be available to load onto GPS devices or off-line mobile app GPS platforms.
MOTUL Bike Wash:
We will have a Motul self service bike wash set up to assist riders getting their machines clean and ready for the next days adventure.
Mechanical Service:
We will have a mechanical & tire changing station set up for the riders.
