Logistics and Back up:

Each group of riders departing from their respective areas will be supported by a recovery team in a back-up vehicle. This team will also include Level 2 First Aider or medic for safety and support en route to the final venue. Riders departing from each geographical area will be able to split up into smaller groups but will have to follow the specific pre-determined GPS planned routes and waypoints for each journey. This is not a guided ride.

Route selection will suite most rider’s abilities and include 2 options, namely:

  • Orange – tar roads and gravel district roads
  • Red – tar roads, gravel roads, twin tracks and cattle paths

All routes leading to Battlefields Lodge endpoint will be named in sequential order with distances noted along the route. These specified routes will be available to load onto GPS devices or off-line mobile app GPS platforms.
