RampageChampionship
Four championship events. Two navigation classes. One season-long battle for supremacy across South Africa's most demanding off-road stages.
Four Events.
One Champion.
The Rampage 2026 Championship consists of four points-paying events (ODC1–ODC4), each made up of multiple timed stages. Riders accumulate points across the season, with only their best results counting toward the final standings.
Choose Your
Navigation.
Riders compete in one of two navigation classes — each presenting its own unique challenges and riding experience on the same stages.
Navigate using traditional tulip-based roadbook navigation. Read the book, trust your instincts, and find your own line. The purist's choice.
Traditional NavigationNavigate using GPS-based GPX tracks. A performance handicap is applied to ensure competitive fairness against Roadbook riders across all stages.
GPS Navigation · HandicappedBoth classes compete at the same events on the same stages, but are scored separately. A small performance handicap is applied to the GPX class to offset the inherent navigation advantage of GPS-based riding when compared to traditional roadbook navigation.
Handicap values may be adjusted throughout the season and will be clearly communicated as the 2026 season progresses.
How Points
Are Earned.
Championship points are awarded at the conclusion of each stage. Your season total is built from your strongest performances — not every result counts.
Riders earn points based on their finishing position on each stage. Higher placements earn more points toward the championship.
Time penalties for missed waypoints, navigation errors, or speed infringements are added to stage time and directly affect results and points.
Only a rider's strongest stage performances across the 2026 season are included in the final championship calculation.
Riders are not required to compete in every event. Varying schedules and mechanical issues are accommodated by the best-results format.
Built to Reward
the Best.
The Rampage 2026 Championship is built to reward skill, consistency, and endurance across the entire season. By allowing result flexibility, applying a transparent handicap system, and emphasising stage-based performance, the 2026 championship remains competitive, fair, and accessible for all riders.
