We’ve had a year packed with events, tech developments and new ideas coming to life. This edition wraps up the big wins from 2025 and sets out what you can expect from Rampage in 2026. 2025: A Full-Throttle Year for Rampage2025 delivered another standout season for Rally Rampage. We ran four fully booked One Day Challenges (ODCs), each forming part of the Rampage Championship 2025. Our Dakar-inspired format remains the heart of what we do: timed starts, roadbooks and GPX navigation, waypoint collection, speed zone penalties and all the details that make it a real navigation rally. It’s designed not only for hardcore rally racers, but for adventure riders who want more than a quick coffee run – proper, demanding riding that rewards precision, focus and grit. The 2025 Rampage Championship ResultsLast year we introduced our overall annual scoreboard for the first time, tracking performance across all four events. Scoring is based on your position in each stage, which means it rewards navigation first, then fast and focused riding – not just outright speed. After a hard-fought season, the 2025 podium looked like this: 3rd – Adriaan Louw, 2nd – Angelo Marante, and 1st – Anthony Taylor. A massive thank you to our main prize sponsors who helped make it happen: Braaiworx, Bandit Graffix, Race Worx KTM, ADA, Motul and Just Bike Tyre. What’s Coming in 2026: The CalendarFor 2026 we’re keeping the momentum going with another series of four challenging one-day rides spread across the year, capped off by a fifth event – our Championship Awards and year-end function. The first ODC of the season is the Loskop Rally (Reverse) on 14 March 2026. As always, all our routes start and finish in Pretoria, Gauteng, keeping the logistics simple while the riding stays intense. For all dates and details, check out our 2026 calendar: Wandrr: Next-Level Location SharingOne of the biggest announcements for 2026 is the launch of Wandrr, our new location sharing app. Originally developed as a family safety tool similar to Life360, we couldn’t resist building in features specifically for the kind of riding we do. Using circles, you can voluntarily share your live location with your group, making it ideal for solo riding peace of mind, group rides, family use, or even a golf four-ball. The real game-changer is that Wandrr also has a full desktop interface, giving you a control-station style view of your circles from a PC. It’s perfect for monitoring movement and safety in group sports, ride support teams, and organised events – including what we do at Rampage. Coming soon after launch is full integration with Garmin satellite units on the Iridium network. You’ll be able to link and monitor your Garmin device, and activate it on a prepaid, day-by-day basis – no expensive monthly contracts, just switch it on for the days you’re actually out adventuring. Wandrr will be available on the Google Play Store at the beginning of February 2026 – search for “Wandrr” and give it a try. RBR Roadbook: Evolving the TechRBR Roadbook software is still the primary platform powering our events, and our partnership with Tom, the creator behind RBR, continues to grow. We play a pivotal role in implementation, feature development and feedback, helping refine this incredible technology in real rally conditions. A major milestone is that Rally Raid SA, with our assistance, has now adopted RBR as their primary navigation and roadbook software in the big rally cars. This brings those top-level machines up to date with modern digital roadbook tech. One of the newest features implemented toward the end of 2025 is the breadcrumb view in the roadbook. You can stop briefly, switch over to a GPX-style map view in under a minute to orientate yourself when you’re properly lost or still learning roadbooks, and then swap straight back into roadbook mode. It makes getting back on track that much easier and more rider-friendly. Bluetooth Controller 2.0Our in-house developed Bluetooth handlebar controller has received a serious upgrade for 2026. After running a very DIY-focused 2025 model, we’ve completely redeveloped and updated the design and software with a professional supplier. The buttons have been redesigned and professionally manufactured, and the system has been consolidated into one compact box – no more two separate units mounted on the bike. The new controller will make it even easier and more reliable to control your mobile device and navigation apps from the bars. Launching very soon. Rampage Hardware & TrainingBeyond the Bluetooth controllers, we still rely on the Ulefone Armor Pad Pro 8″ tablet as our go-to device, and our bespoke Rampage brackets are in stock and ready to ship. We also still build rally towers, although that side of things has quietened down a bit. For 2026 our hardware focus is much more on supporting roadbook navigation and our ODC events, and we are looking at the possibility of running full-day training events to help riders get comfortable with the rally format and digital roadbooks. Rampage Membership UpdateIn 2025 we introduced the Rampage Membership model, and while it received solid support, the workload behind maintaining it made it less feasible long term. For 2026 we’ve decided not to continue with the Rampage Membership. Sometimes things that don’t quite work need to go so we can focus our time and energy on what delivers the most value: better events, better tech, and better riding experiences. Rampage Western Cape: Something BrewingWith more Rampagers now based in the Western Cape and more of us travelling through there, we’re putting extra effort into the region. Burger, one of our route developers from the Rampage Gauteng group, is now based in Botrivier and has been riding, scouting and building Rampage-ready routes in the Cape area. With his help and support from local Rampagers, we might even look at hosting a small ODC-style event in the Western Cape this year. Let’s see what Burger cooks up with us in 2026. Closing NoteIt’s genuinely inspiring to see the passion and support across the Rampage community and our shared love for the rally format. With some Rampagers already having taken on Dakar and other international events, and a bunch more actively training towards those kinds of goals, the culture around Rampage is something special.
